Brand new Turbo Turbocharger (No core charge) compatible for: AUDI A3, A3 SPORTBACK, SEAT ALTEA, ALTEA XL, LEON, TOLEDO SKODA OCTAVIA II, SUPERB II, VW GOLF PLUS V, GOLF 5, JETTA 3, PASSAT B6, TOURAN. Brand new turbocharger with no core charge! For warranty, replace the air filter + engine oil with pre-drain cleaner, clean the air intercooler... (see PROCEDURE and CHECKS sections). Known issue with 2.0 TDI engines, turbo failure is not always related to its fragility!

These engines suffer from oil circuit clogging, which leads to turbo failure. For right-hand drive vehicles (RHD). For left-hand drive vehicles (LHD).

Interval between engine oil changes. Even though the manufacturer recommends maintenance every 20,000km, it is highly recommended, for this 2.0 TDI engine, to replace the oil every 7,500 to 10,000km to preserve your engine.

Injector leak; if you notice black oil stains around the injector, experience a loss of power, noisy engine, and smell unburned gas inside the cabin. It is important to address this issue promptly as the carbon buildup around the injector causes engine oil contamination, which will eventually reduce lubrication to the turbocharger leading to its failure.

The oil pan strainer and the banjo bolt filter on the turbo oil inlet are the two elements most sensitive to this contamination. Engine oil quality, use high-quality oil with viscosity of 5w30 or 5w40, consult a specialist. The EGR valve can also cause oil contamination, so it should be checked before replacing the turbocharger.

In some models, the oil pan should be replaced when replacing the turbocharger due to a design flaw preventing complete drainage of used oil during oil changes. If you have a yellow oil dipstick, inquire! The oil capacity increases from 3.4l to 3.9l, which requires replacing the oil dipstick, which will then be orange. The cause of lubrication failure and deterioration of engine oil quality can have several possible explanations. Turbo failure is generally due to a lack of lubrication. The turbo shaft relies on pressurized engine oil cushion, rotating at extreme speeds. Any lack of oil quickly damages it! 1 Change the engine oil by adding pre-drain cleaner and replacing the oil filter twice in a row: The engine oil should be at operating temperature. The vehicle should be on a level surface (lengthwise and widthwise). Loosen the oil filter to allow the oil to drain completely. Remove the fill cap and the dipstick. Let the oil drain from the lower oil pan. Do not drain by suction. 2 Clean: Thoroughly clean the oil cooler and the engine side filter with brake cleaner and dry the parts with compressed air. Clean the vacuum pump strainer with brake cleaner and dry it with compressed air. IMPORTANT: If the oil appears contaminated, the system must be flushed before continuing. For vehicles with less than 60,000km, clean the lower engine pan. For vehicles with more than 60,000km, replace the oil strainer. 3 Check/replace oil lines: Replace the oil feed line with a new one. Replace the hollow screw of the oil inlet and its gaskets. Replace the oil return line, its fitting, and its gaskets. 4 Fill with oil and test: Replace the oil filter with a new one. Install the drain plug with a new gasket.

Fill the engine oil to the correct level. Position the oil return line in a suitable collecting container. Start the engine and let it idle for 60 seconds. The amount of oil drained should be more than 500ml during the 60 seconds. IMPORTANT: Do not run the engine if the oil level is below the minimum.

5 Fill the oil: Properly connect the new oil return line to the turbocharger. Fill the engine oil to the required amount. Let the engine idle until the oil pressure warning light goes off max.

1 minute, stop the engine and let it sit for 5 minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick. It should be near the maximum level without exceeding it. 6 Additional checks: Visual inspection of the injectors, if there is soot, it may indicate a leaking injector. Resolve the issue before continuing.

If contaminated, clean or replace it. Check the particulate filter and replace if necessary. Checks to be performed before replacing your turbocharger and to prevent potential failure after its replacement: Check the injector seals.

Remove the air intake duct to the turbocharger to check whether the compressor wheel nut is present or not: - If the nut is present, check the axial and longitudinal play and ensure the blades do not touch the compressor housing. If the nut is missing, it absolutely must be found before installing the new turbocharger.

Check the vacuum pump and its inlet filter. If heavily clogged, replace it, otherwise clean it.

Check all hoses and conduits including the exhaust and ensure there are no foreign objects, restrictions, or pinching. Remove and clean the air intercooler and the breather system.

The entire filtration system must be replaced: oil filter, air filter, strainer, banjo bolt, vacuum pump if the strainer is too clogged. Check that the particulate filter (DPF) and the catalytic converter are not clogged or heavily contaminated. 2.0 TDI 16V 4motion. 2.0 TDI 16V 4x4.
