Turbo New Turbocharger (Without Return of Deposit) compatible for: AUDI A3, A3 SPORTBACK, SEAT ALTEA, ALTEA XL, LEON, TOLEDO SKODA OCTAVIA II, SUPERB II, VW GOLF PLUS V, GOLF 5, JETTA 3, PASSAT B6, TOURAN. NEW TURBO WITHOUT RETURN OF DEPOSIT! For warranty, plan to replace the air filter + engine oil change with pre-drain cleaner, air exchanger cleaning... (see PROCEDURE and CONTROLS sections).

Known problem on 2.0 TDI engines, turbo failure is not necessarily due to its fragility! These engines suffer from an oil circuit clogging problem, resulting in turbo failure.

2.0 TDI 16V 4motion. 2.0 TDI 16V 4x4. 2.0 TDI 16V quattro. 1 Drain the engine oil by adding pre-drain engine cleaner and replace the oil filter twice in a row: The engine oil must be at the correct temperature. The vehicle must be on a horizontal plane (lengthwise and widthwise). Loosen the oil filter so that the oil can drain completely. Remove the filling cap and dipstick. Let the oil drain through the lower sump. Do not drain by aspiration. 2 Clean: Completely clean the oil cooler and the engine side filter with brake cleaner and dry the parts with compressed air. Clean the vacuum pump strainer with brake cleaner and dry everything with compressed air. IMPORTANT: If the oil appears polluted, you must first rinse the system before continuing. On vehicles with less than 60,000 km, you must clean the lower engine sump. On vehicles with more than 60,000 km, you must change the oil strainer. 3 Check/replace oil pipe: Replace the oil feed pipe with a new one. Replace the hollow screw of the oil inlet and its seals. Replace the oil return pipe, its connector, and seals. 4 Fill with oil and test: Replace the oil filter with a new one. Replace the drain plug with a new gasket. Fill the engine oil to the correct level.

Position the oil return pipe in a suitable collection tray. Start the engine and let it run for 60 seconds at idle.

The amount of oil drained must be more than 500ml during the 60 seconds. IMPORTANT: Do not run the engine if the oil level is below the minimum. 5 Fill the oil: Correctly connect the new oil return pipe to the turbo. Fill the engine oil to the required amount.

Let the engine idle until the oil pressure light goes out max. 1 minute, stop the engine and let it sit for 5 minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick. It should be close to the maximum, without exceeding it.

6 Additional checks: Visual check of the injectors, if there are traces of soot, this may indicate a leaking injector. Solve the problem before continuing. If it is polluted, it must be cleaned or replaced. Check the particulate filter and replace it if necessary.

Checks to be carried out before replacing your turbo and to prevent possible damage following its replacement: Check the injector seals. Remove the air intake pipe to the turbo to see if the compressor wheel nut is present or not: - If the nut is present, check for axial and longitudinal play and if the blades do not touch the compressor housing. If the nut is missing, it must be found before the new turbocharger is installed. Check the vacuum pump and its inlet strainer. If too clogged, it must be replaced, otherwise clean it.

Check all hoses and pipes including the exhaust and ensure that there are no foreign bodies, restrictions, or pinching. Remove and clean the air cooler (intercooler) and the breather system.

The entire filtration system must be replaced: oil filter, air filter, strainer, banjo bolt, vacuum pump if the strainer is too clogged. Check that the particulate filter (DPF) and the catalytic converter are not blocked or heavily clogged. For vehicles with Right-hand drive (RHD). For vehicles with Left-hand drive (LHD). The interval between engine oil changes.

Even if the manufacturer recommends maintenance every 20,000 km, it is strongly recommended, on this 2.0 TDI engine, to replace the oil every 7500 to 10000 km to preserve your engine. Injector leaks; you see traces of black oil around the injector, you feel a loss of power, the engine is noisy and an odor of unburned gas rises in the cabin. It is important to address this problem quickly as the carbon formed around the injector causes an oil clogging which will eventually decrease the lubrication of the turbocharger and cause its failure. The oil sump strainer and the banjo bolt filter on the turbo oil inlet are the two most sensitive elements to this contamination. The quality of engine oil, you must use a quality oil with a viscosity of 5w30 or 5w40, seek advice from a specialist.

The EGR valve can also cause this oil contamination, so it must be checked before replacing the turbocharger. On some models, the replacement of the oil sump must be carried out when replacing the turbo because it has a design defect preventing the complete evacuation of used oil during the drain. If you have a yellow dipstick, inquire! The capacity goes from 3.4l to 3.9l which requires the replacement of the oil dipstick, which is then orange in color.

The cause of the lack of lubrication and the deterioration of the quality of the engine oil has several possible explanations. Turbo failure is generally due to a lack of lubrication. The turbo shaft rests on a pressurized engine oil cushion, it turns at extreme speeds.

Any lack of oil quickly damages it!
